FEMA - Escape Plan VR

Can a metaverse experience keep people safe in real-life? In partnership with FEMA, Ready.Gov, Ad Council, makemepulse, and Meta, we built EscapePlanVR: a cross-platform metaverse experience that helps people understand the importance of making an escape plan in case of a house fire. In this web-based experience, players can put on a VR headset and play in real-time with a friend using a mobile device. Working together, teammates need to escape a house fire while learning about safe choices along the way. Safe choices give players additional time to get out, unsafe choices take time away. After players escape, they can review their decisions and learn more about making a plan at the Ready.gov website.
